Connie Rose, her husband Doug, and their children have taken it upon themselves to not only clean up a portion of Florence, but also to plant flowers in the same area (around 30th and Dick Collins Road).  They don't ask for money, they don't ask for help, they just do it.

This area is the entry way into Florence from I-680 or North of Florence.  Connie Rose is also leading the way to help bring "Big Boy"* to Florence to help show off our train heritage.

As a result of the many hours spent contributing to the beauty of the community, the North Omaha Commercial Club selected Connie Rose (and her family) to receive the 2003 Community Award.  Everyone agrees; a good choice!

Since the 2003 award, Connie continues to be active in the community. She is currently the President of the Florence Futures Foundation.
