Currently, our Winter Quarters - Mormon Park Historic marker is missing. The Nebraska Historical Society department that handles markers for historic sites has been looking for the marker, so far with no luck. The marker has been missing since at least October 2022. Neither Omaha Parks Department nor the Nebraska offices have been able to locate it. There is even the possibility of the marker being stolen. Therefore, it is scheduled for replacement, along with many other markers. The process of full replacement could be over a year. We deeply regret this delay.
